OUR WORK

Boulder Dushanbe Sister Cities participates in a variety of projects aimed at increasing cooperation and understanding between the cities of Boulder, Colorado and Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The people of Tajikistan gifted Boulder its beautiful Tea House. The people of Boulder helped to build Dushanbe's Friendship Center. Every year, the BDSC organization plays a key role in the exchange of delegations between the two nations.

Update on Teahouse Restoration

Maruf Mirahmatov, is a master artisan from Khujand, Tajikistan. He is a fifth-generation artisan who works with traditional design motifs and their applications. His grandfather Mirpulat was one of the artisans in Tajikistan who helped design and execute the construction of our wonderful Teahouse (Chaikhana).

Cyber Cafe Reopened

The Friendship Center is opened under new management and the first English classes have already started! The reopening took place in June 2012- Friendship Center Reopening. Below is a translated letter from the Dushanbe City Government announcing the appointment of a new director for the Boulder Friendship Center/Cyber Café in Dushanbe.
