The book describes and interprets the art, architecture, and gardens of Dushanbe's spectacular gift to its American Sister City as well as the cultural context of the Teahouse. It includes chapters about Central Asian teahouses, Tajikistan tea culture; the history of the Teahouse; information about the Cyber Café and resources for the study of Central Asian and Islamic art and architecture. This 154-page book has more than 100 color photographs, including 20 outstanding close-ups of the Teahouse art by Boulder photographer Rodger Ewy. For each book sold at the Teahouse, Peknik and Teahouse proprietor Lenny Martinelli will donate $5 to the Boulder-Dushanbe Sister Cities Cyber Café Gift Fund.
