Additional information about the planned Cyber Café:

  • Size

    • Main level 3,014 square feet

    • Basement 1,421 square feet

    • Approximately twenty computer workstations

    • Approximately sixty additional seats to be placed in either lounge style, at twelve tables, or at a service counter

    • Approximately 30 additional seats to be place at meeting and seminar tables

    • Approximately one hundred terrace seats with tables for outdoor seating

  • Construction

    • Procurement of construction services to be managed by Tajik Swiss Project Professionals

    • Construction services to utilize professional general contracting services selected through bidding by pre-qualified general construction contractors

    • So as to encourage local economic development and employment, use of Tajik labor, materials, and supplies will be advocated and encouraged

    • Labor to be local Tajik skilled labor to maximum extent feasible

    • Materials to be locally fabricated or manufactured materials, or materials taken from local quarries

  • Structure

    • Metal roof frame

    • Concrete fin walls at main area, concrete and stone walls at entrance area and end wall of education center

    • Partial concrete basement

    • Fabric solar shading covers at exterior terrace

    • Cooling shall be energy efficient evaporative cooling which is particularly suitable to this climate

    • Heating shall be in floor radiant cooling using hydroelectrically produced electrical energy

    • Electrical systems shall be backed up by photovoltaic solar collectors

    • Technology support to be direct exchange cooling
