On the Occasion of the Groundbreaking for the Cyber Cafe for Dushanbe

22 March 2006

TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE OF OUR SISTER CITY, DUSHANBE, TAJIKISTAN

As President of the of the Board of Directors of the Boulder Dushanbe Sister Cities organization, Boulder, Colorado, United States of America I would like to say that we honor and cherish the friendship we share with the people of Dushanbe. Your gift to the people of Boulder of the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse symbolizes the mutual goodwill between the people of our two cities and expresses the beauty and generosity of the Tajik people.

We present this gift of a Cyber Cafe in return. It is our humble intent to give to the people of Dushanbe a building that reflects the lives and spirit of the people of Boulder and declares their admiration, gratitude, and respect for the people of Dushanbe.

Our relationship as Sister Cities is strong and shall grow, causing more and more awareness and involving more and more individuals in the exchange of knowledge and understanding between the people of our two cities.

On this day, 22 March 2006, I place this document in a capsule as part of the groundbreaking ceremonies that symbolize the start of construction of the Cyber Cafe for Dushanbe.
